As a private, not for profit Catholic Liberal Arts College on the campus of the University of British Columbia, Corpus Christi College relies heavily on the financial support of our alumni, donors and friends. Contributions of all sizes help us provide financial assistance to many of our students who require it to meet their academic goals; your gifts allow us to attract the best and brightest faculty, to enhance our facilities, to support a rich array of student life activities and to build our endowment to ensure a strong and secure future for the College.

Annual Giving Support for Now and for the Future

Gifts of cash are available for immediate use by Corpus Christi College and are tax deductible. Multi-year pledges allow many donors to increase the size of their gifts, while payments are extended over several years. Cheques should be made out to Corpus Christi College. Gifts of Securities

Gifts can be made with stocks, bonds and mutual funds and can offer extra tax benefits to the donor, as capital gains tax can be eliminated. For assistance in making a gift of securities, please call the Advancement Office at (604) 822-6862 Ex 118.

Deferred or Planned Gifts

Bequests are a very meaningful way to be part of both the past and the future of Corpus Christi College. By naming the College as a beneficiary in your will, it is possible to leave a significant legacy to the College. Your bequest may be for a set dollar amount, a percent or fraction of your estate, or part of the remainder of your estate after other bequests have been settled.

While unrestricted bequests grant Corpus Christi College freedom to allocate your support where the need is greatest, some donors may wish to make a restricted bequest to enhance a specific program or cherished project, or establish a new fund such as an endowed scholarship to honor a favorite instructor or family member.

Gifts from Retirement Plan Assets

Assets in tax-deferred retirement plans can be appealing charitable gift to make to Corpus Christi College. You can designate the College as the beneficiary of all - or a portion - of your retirement plans. It is recommended that you consult with your legal and financial advisors who can assist you on the most advantageous way to proceed with this gifting option.
