A Word From the College President

As the new President of Corpus Christi College, I am well aware of the many fine options available to you in your choice of a post-secondary education, and it is my privilege to tell you about the CCC Advantage.

Corpus Christi is the only Catholic college in Vancouver. It is the only college that can offer you a two-year liberal arts program that is grounded in the intellectual and moral tradition of Catholicism, both in its academic offerings, and in its commitment to the education of the whole person.

On behalf of our Chancellor, Archbishop Michael Miller, the members of the Board of Directors of the College, and our entire community, I invite you to consider the advantages of Corpus Christi College.

With its focus on academic excellence, Corpus Christi College will give you the proper foundation for a successful university career. The College’s proven ten-year record of success is due in part to our qualified and dedicated faculty members, our small class sizes, our strong student advisory system, and our access to the programs and services of the University of British Columbia. Furthermore, our membership in the British Columbia Transfer System makes it easy for our graduates to transfer to any institution in BC to complete a full degree in their area of choice.

But what we are truly proud of is our integration of education with personal and spiritual development. We encourage our students to get involved in service learning opportunities with communities in need, both locally and globally. We create a learning environment for debating issues of faith and morals that are of particular relevance to young people. We are a place where the classes you take will not only inspire you, but will also provide you with the necessary skills, language, and confidence to confront the pressing needs of our time.

Corpus Christi is still in its formative period, and you have the opportunity to participate in the challenge of its growth. In the near future, we expect to offer the Associate of Arts degree, to streamline our curriculum so as to align it more tightly with your preferred academic destination, and to expand our courses in philosophy, ethics, and religion.
